After 14 years downtown, Intérieurs, the TriBeCa furniture store, has moved to a new showroom on the East Side. “I was nervous about it,” said Francine Gardner, the owner. “But in this space, people seem to be looking at the furniture in a different way.” The 2,800-square-foot showroom, which is open to the public, is spread over two stories, with an additional 1,000 square feet of outdoor space — an ideal place for showing furniture and accessories for both indoors and out.
The store sells its own line of upholstered furniture, bookcases and storage units, as well as lighting by José Esteves, rugs by Limited Edition, outdoor furniture by Uno Piu, furniture by Modénature and Casalis, and some 19th-century steel industrial pieces like desk chairs and tables.
